School Architecture Workshops in Schools for all Key Stages and Abilities. Our workshops have been making learning fun for 20 years. Integrated curricular workshops, designed as catalytic support for students and teachers.
Using simple materials pupils engage in problem-solving activities, as individuals and groups, to build large structures in a hall space. The workshops stimulate students’ creative thinking, interpretation, visual problem-solving and team-working skills. Pupils achieve a greater spacial awareness and understanding of the built environment, as well as enriching their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Architecture Workshops have delivered unique site specific workshops throughout the UK; The British Museum Great Court and Elgin Marbles Room, The Science Museum, The Natural History Museum, RIBA Offices, The New Art Gallery, Walsall, The Forum, Norwich, The Pompidou Centre, Paris. The New Museum Of Islamic Art Doha, Qatar. We also undertake a series of free workshops to schools in New Jersey every May.
“We were impressed at how the pupils were given an opportunity to apply various skills in the workshop and were delighted at how much fun they were clearly having. The staff were highly impressed with the quality of the experience and the way the session was run. They have already requested a return visit and we will certainly recommend you to other schools.” Lindsay Fry, Deputy Headteacher, Corsham Primary Sch. Wiltshire
