Overview
Simon is able to draw on his wide experience in theatre to tailor almost any workshop for your school or group – whatever your needs may be from fun drama games sessions to workshops focusing in a play or theatrical genre of your choice.
As one of the most experienced Shakespeare workshop leaders in the UK he has developed a wealth of theatre techniques to bring fresh insight to Shakespeare’s words for students of all ages. Workshops work cheek by jowl with the curriculum, ranging from a lively introduction for younger pupils to a deeper exploration for older students.
For A-level students, Simon offers a highly revealing and entertaining interactive lecture exploring Shakespeare’s playhouses, actors and audience. This is ideal for English or Drama students who want to compare performance in Shakespeare’s time with today’s theatre. These very popular sessions can be enhanced by a follow-up workshop on a chosen text.
